16U
16U will look to target elite players who are looking for the most competitive 16U Softball experience, both regionally and nationally, without having to travel long distances for their weekly practices and winter workouts. This team will be in a hybrid format, attending both showcase and play-to-win tournaments. We believe that attending both preserves the integrity of the game, while also getting girls the necessary exposure to college coaches.
Regional competition will be primarily focused on travel to play in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania, while National competition could include Florida, Colorado, California, South Carolina, and Texas.
The program for 16U would include 2-3 practices per week in the Fall, plus 4-6 tournaments. The 16U team is looking for the most serious of softball players in the area, particularly those girls for whom softball is their primary sport, year-round.
In the Winter/off-season, the team's regimen will include a minimum of 2 days of batting practice per week, weekly indoor pitching instruction, and weekly skills and conditioning training indoors. One play-to-win tournament will also be included in the winter season to keep our skills sharp. We recognize that the winter season is an important time for recruiting, so many weekends will be left open for girls to attend individual college showcase camps.
Since the 16U team will be comprised of high schoolers, this team will *not* target any tournaments in the Spring during High School Softball season. The 16U team will resume play in early June, targeting an additional 7-9 Summer tournaments including both showcase and play-to-win tournaments.
The 16u team will also include personalized recruiting profiles and consultations with our recruiting coordinator. Each girl will have a profile constructed for them, including skills videos and highlight tapes, to help showcase their abilities. In addition to this, girls will receive assistance in scheduling and communicating with various colleges to set them up for success. Many organizations require athletes to outsource these amenities for an extra cost, however, we strive to provide each athlete with an all-inclusive experience with assistance from previous athletes who have been through the process themselves.
